Seagate Momentus XT Drives

Never knew these exsisted, not exactly a massive fan of Seagate to be honest.

Anyone know what the performance of these are like? Suppose to be an improvement over your standard 7200RPM Drive. Just ahvent seen many reviews on them.
 
Not as good as an SSD or SSD caching from what i remember. Used one in flesh and it definetly felt like a fast hard drive, but not SSD fast if you get me. Wasn't there a lot of firmware issues in the start? I think the overall consensus is that the cache is really too small.
 
Yeah just like a fast mechanical HDD, after a couple of boots or so the OS is quite quick to boot from them and if you only use 1-2 apps regularly you should see a fair benefit but overall useage won't touch an SSD.
