So I'm waiting on a returned 750GB 7200.10 that failed. Been over two weeks now and just twiddling my thumbs wondering if it's coming half-way round the globe or not.

Does anyone know how long it should take? I sent my broken one to the Coventry location and then had a confirmation e-mail when the replacement was despatched. Never heard of the courier company, EXCEL TRANSPORT INTL CO LTD, and can only find a company in Thailand by that name. It had no tracking number, just said TBD, 'to be determined' I presume.

WD returns were much better when I used them.

No dramas, my Freeagent crapped out after a couple of months. 5 day turn around with shipping to the Netherlands. They even shipped back the box complete with brand new accessories after telling me to keep hold of my own. I've now got double PSU/cables etc...

Handy :)

Been a while since I had to send anything back.

RMA'd two 20GB drives a few years ago, accepted RMA no fuss, sent them off to the Netherlands I think it was, about a week after they recieved them two new drives arrived.

Rma'd a few drives to seagate recently (job lot) all fine. Also seem to have improved the ones for Maxtor :D

Ive had to send back 3 drives to seagate and everytime the experience was trouble free and fast, around 5days maximum if I remember correctly.

The only awkward experience I had was due to a 250gb maxtor sata which didnt exist according to seagate but I soon got it sorted out and rma'd :)

I had loads of problems RMAing 2 faulty 7200.7 drives, think there was a thread about Seagate RMAs at the time which I posted in. The main problem was that the replacement drives were faulty which I had to re-RMA, took around a month all in but as a way of saying sorry they did upgrade the drives to the 7200.10 models.
