Just posted mine off to ocuk rma, and just wondering when i might expect a replacement drive i sent it special delivery cost me 6.50 and will be there by tomorrow 1pm posty said.
If you had sent it direct to seagate then it would have been 7 working days. However since you have sent to back to ocuk it will probably take a bit longer. Also being the holiday season you need to take that in to consideration regardless of who you sent it to.
Slightly off topic, I'm going to RMA my 7200.11 when it (finally) gets back from the data recovery place. I bought it from another retailer in Oct 07 and the warranty is a 5 year affair. Do I need to send it directly or the the retailer?? I'd rather send it to the retailer as it's in the UK rather than paying out to send it outside the UK.
Seagate have a unit in Coventry and I have always sent broken hdds back to the manufacturer. I've sent a lot of 7200.11 drives back and luckily I was sent back the rock solid .10 drives
