I've got a faulty Seagate drive that is still under warranty, been through the RMA process but it's telling me to ship it to the Netherlands, is that right? shipping will come out at about £25 to send it :(

There should be a dropdown box on there somewhere that allows you to return it to a RMA centre in the UK. My last faulty Seagate a few years back went to the UK, the one a few years before that went to the Netherlands.

None of the drop down options are UK addresses...and they don't refund return postage :(

I'll not be buying anything from Seagate again.

IIRC, last time I used it there was some way of printing off a returns address label, and I think in that bit there was a drop down box that allowed you to choose destination addresses, and there was a UK one in there.

How did you get on?
I have the same problem, got a drive barely 6 months old, and they expect me NOT to be refunded the postage?
The 'postage label' is just a pdf with the return address and my address on it..!
I agree, no more purchases from seagate by me.
There is an option for postage to Coventry in the list though?

There's an option to ship to UK, IIRC it's in a weird place... the list isn't alphabetical or something.

As far as postage goes, yes you will pay for it unfortunately. Have you tried going back to the retailer? Normally they will pay return postage if it's faulty.

Yep, posted to Coventry and had to pay the postage myself, got a return drive within about 5 days of sending mine off.

There's a UPS Drop-off point in Coventry which doubles as a seagate returns center.. They then get sent to NL from there. Definitely cheaper then sending it direct.

When you get your refurb, sell it and then buy a WD Drive.
