Seagate sata2

I am going to be getting a hardrive today from overs, seems the seagate seems to be what you guys advising others to buy one thing i would like to know.

I currently have a 200gig sata 8meg cache Maxtor nothing new its a few years old now and its used for my backup drive. I am looking at the 320gig sata2 Seagate barracuda 16meg cache, will i notice any performance increases if i am say unraring files etc.

It'll be quicker, no doubt. Whether or not you'll notice it really depends on how fast your old drive is performing. The Seagate is a very nice drive. You won't be disappointed.

My old drive always seems abit laggy when i am accessing it, not sure if this is due to the fact i am using a raptor on my c drive or not but it does frustrate me abit, click a folder and theres always lag there opening it.
