Went for a walk on Sunday, took a few random shots, was a really nice day and the light was just right.. All taken handheld @ 600mm

That first shot is very well captured :)

ps... your seagulls look different to the ones i'm used to here in Brighton. They have larger beaks which are yellow!

Yeah, my mate lives in middlesboro... so the one in the north east! :D its really weird round there, gotta be careful tho, the armed nuclear police stopped us and searched us last year as we were taking pictures of the old american warships being broken up next to the nuclear power plant...
 
lol, never had the pleasure of that experience myself tbh, but i don't visit there very often anyway, don't like being round that big nuke station lol.
 
Seal sands is a brilliant place for some pictures. Did you get these shots in the river or in the lake at the end (away from the road)?

The 1st image, especially, is a nice shot. Personally, I'd just give it a bit of a levels work to give it a bit more contrast and do a tighter crop. Like this, maybe ... (hope you don't mind)

It could also do with a slight rotation to get the splash straight, maybe?
