Been looking at these circa 2015 or face lift 2017 models

Going on my other thread i thought i was swaying to get one of these but ive just noticed the face lift ones dont seem to have front parking sensors ?

can anyone shed some light on this?

comparing it to the pre-face lift

Has anyone here looked at other cars around this sort of spec/speed and decided to go with a leon or steer away from it ?

interesting to know your thoughts

I have had my 17 plate 1.4 petrol Leon FR (150bhp) just over a week now and I'm very pleased with it I have to say. Very economical, pretty nippy and very well specced.

Mine has the tech pack, convenience pack and 18 inch performance alloys, but only rear parking sensors.

The LED headlights and active cylinder technology are great too :)

With only 10k on the clock and less than two years old, I feel it was good value at under 12k.

I used to have a 2015 1.4 TSI Leon but sold it to my parents a year ago. Had no problems with it.

The media system on the 2017 model is much better and should have Android Auto / Apple Carplay.

I have the 1.8 FR DSG (2014). Economy around town is 32mpg and I get 45mpg @ 70mph. Apart from the road noise, I love it.

Front and rear were standard on the FR until the facelift, when for some reason they changed it to rear only. Mine has both fortunately.

Mine is identical to the first one you posted except mine is a manual, and doesn't have the aux port in the front cubby hole. I've been really happy with it, it's a great spec, drives well, has a decent amount of power for non-hot hatch and looks great compared to the competition. Road noise is an issue as above, moreso with the 18" wheels, but it's not insufferable and can be improved with decent tyres.

If I was buying another one I'd want DSG and probably the winter pack, if only to get the headlight washers because the LED headlights can and do suffer quite badly when the lenses get a bit dirty.

Doesn't look like it, the winter pack gets you heated seats (no buttons visible there), headlight washers (again, can't see them), heated washer jets and, bizarrely, a low washer fluid warning indicator. My car can tell me where the nearest petrol station is when low on fuel but not when the washer fluid is going to run out. :o

I had the winter pack on my 2015 Leon and the headlight washers were a major pain. They used huge amounts of washer fluid so you were always having to top it up.

I have a 66 plate FR with winter, tech and convenience packs. The winter pack is great, mainly for the heated seats but I agree that the headlight washers use a lot of screenwash. It's better now that I've replaced the pistol jets on the windscreen to fan type and I believe the headlight washer frequency can be changed with OBD 11.
