I got a computer (XP) that fails to boot so decided to try and do a system repair using the cd. I get to the part where you select the partition where windows is installed however I dont get the repair function.
Anyhow I did a seatools (non seagate hdd btw) check of the drive and it shows numerous sector errors and its unable to repair any of them
Can a virus cause this or are we only talking a hardware fault and the hdd needs replacing?
