Watched the 1st EP so far, not to bad, but yes its another American Super cop with his side kicks show

From eastenders to supercop, I liked the pilot he seems to be an old school detective but at the same time more then happy to punch someone in the face and break the law every 5 minutes so at least its got some grit and realism to it.

I quite like it so far. I know it probably sounds daft but it has a similar feel to the way it's made as Minority Report. I'm guessing as they are both FOX shows they were maybe made by some of the same people.

Me too it's OK but it's not great and it's on Fox, the series order has already been reduced so it'll be an absolute miracle if it doesn't get cancelled.

Personally I think it'd be a much better series if it took it's underlying theme a bit more seriously instead of just using it as an excuse to solve some crimes.

Apparently it was reduced way back in October, long before it started airing. While not good news it's not an absolute as it may catch on with viewers, fingers crossed anyway.

I agree a bit on it being used as an excuse but don't forget there were many shows in the past 20 years that used something as an excuse to go out and do something different every episode and were successful.

Yes I know and I'm deeply disappointed that they're going in that direction. You've got a nice bit of sci-fi there that's annoyingly being sidelined plus the whole thing felt like it moved a bit too quickly like the guy was murdered and solved his own case in a single episode.

Anyway we'll see how it develops.

Shame to hear its been reduced already but yeah does feel very minority report style, when every week or every episode is about solving some crime it does get very predictable and daunting, the cop + super side kick certainly needs a serious spin on it.

Great show indeed (apart from his daughter, who looked like the lovechild of an ugly human and a great white shark)

This show has got really very good now. They are breaking the "super power side kick" out into a nice story arc now.

Well that ended abruptly. It was a decent enough finale but...

having to cut ties with his son because he's supposedly dead again was stupid, especially as he appeared to carry on just the same as before, living in the same house, visiting the same Chinese.

Probably the last we'll see of the show.

Yeah doubt we see another season, it was done ok but to me overall the show lacked that magic spark, either that or the old cop + magic sidekick formula really does make for a dull showing.

It also leaves the bigger question

do we want to see our super side kick come back more aggressive and biting people, maybe for 1 episode

Just caught up and surprised that was it. Enjoyed the show but is that really it? No more second chance for the show (pun intended). It would be a real shame.
