Microsoft has also picked up on this news all over the net and have issued a reply stating that there are no plans to have a internal HD drive, and they say re-read the press release that they issued only a couple of weeks ago confirming this.
The HD-DVD on the other hand would be a good idea if sales of the extrenal drive are strong, and the HD-DVD fromat takes off well in the home standalone market. Not only that but as the cost of the console comes down with larger volumes being produced and parts becoming cheaper to manufacter, I don't see any reason why MS would not be able to release a 360 Gen. 2 machine in first half 2008 with an internal HD-DVD at £299 or less.
Not regarding the drives, but are we likely to see, or have we seen, Rev2 of the 360 HW, prehaps with quieter parts?
Im seriously considering getting a 360 when i get back off my hols if ive got the money left over, even though there are only two games that interest me. lol. (PDZ & Oblivion).
