Hey guys,

I'm wanting to buy a 2nd hand iphone, and just wondered is there anything i should be careful off ?

I'm looking to get a 3GS, can't afford a iphone 4.

Can i update a 3gs with the latest firmware ?

Yes, you can update the 3GS to the latest firmware.

You should really just wait and get an iPhone 4 or 4S though...

If you're buying off ebay make sure it's factory unlocked, if it's locked to a network it makes thing difficult, especially if its AT&T

Why would he buy an ATT one? Would that even be on the right frequency band?

Yes it is, as long as its the GSM iPhone and not the Verizon iPhone, once unlocked, any simcard will work.

I bought an iPhone off ebay that was locked to AT&T because it was cheap, figured I could unlock it with Ultrasn0w, ultrasn0w never came lol

Managed to sell it on for a profit though
