Hey guys, first off I apologise for the noobish question but this is my first real PC so.. :P

I bought a gaming PC in the summer and I want to stick in a second HDD for Fraps. The PC is under warranty so I can't open it up right now to check what's in there. I'm purchasing a Samsung F3 and really want to know what cables I'll need. It would be just my luck to go to put in the thing and be missing a cable lol!

The PC I'm putting it into is this (bar the upgrade of 8GB ram and the 750 TX V2)

Again, apologies for being a noob :)

Hi :)

The drive bays on that case are secured to the case body by 4 x thumbscrews each side and then the whole bay slides out the front. However, the drives themselves are secured by longer than normal screws once you have slid the drive into a bay. If you have none contact the supplier of the case and they should accomodate you no problem.

Just note that when you slide the bay out that the fan wires are routed along the side of the bay and will still be attached .... so don't go pulling it out to quickly!!!

Apart from that you'll need a SATA cable like this

and locate a spare sata power connector from the PSU (power supply unit)

hope that helps

Thanks very much guys!

I didn't, but contacted the company earlier and they're sending them out to me which is great!

Thanks for the tips, I'll remember that, don't want to yank any out lol.

Awesome, will pick up one of those when buying the HDD just to be safe, again many thanks :D
