Second opinion on bundle and SSD choices

Hello glorious OC community. My PC is just for gaming and I would mainly like to know if I am going wrong with my potential choice of SSD. I am finding it a bit unclear as to why this SSD is so much cheaper than the Samsung model (twice the price ) with very similar specs. I am also wondering about compatibility with the board and if there is a better option. Thanks in advance.

Hi welcome

Not a fan of that bundle as you can get a Ryzen 3700X, Motherboard, Cooler and Ram for a lot less.

Crazy price for that SSD as well. No way a 2TB is worth £500.

If it was me I would go with a Ryzen R7 3700X, MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, 16GB DDR4 3000 - 3200 Ram and a decent air cooler like a Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B

As for the SSD the Corsair MP510 1920GB is much better value at £269.99 or have a look for a Sabrent Rocket (Not sold on here). That is a lot cheaper than £500 as well.

So just under £800 for everything. Nice saving of around £775.

Thanks a lot man i'll definitely consider everything you've said and take some more time. My only sticking point would be that I am going for max FPS to drive a 240hz panel. Thats whats attracting me to the 5ghz binned chip. I am concerned that the Ryzen might not get me much of a boost over my devils canyon, even though my chip was quite the lottery failure only stable at 4.3.

Do you already own the 240Hz monitor ?

As for the Intel bundle, you are paying a lot extra for a bit of convenience.

You could get something like this if you wanted to stick with Intel. You would need space for a 360mm radiator in your case.

So double the amount of Ram, a better cooler and board and a 9900K instead of the 9700K.

And for overclocking the 9900K on the Gigabyte Aorus Master:
