Second opinion(s) please?

Dont, consider P+P, source from a single place.

If it helps, list a maximum budget, exactly what parts you need, (Board/CPU/RAM/HDD/Case/GFX card etc)
I've already thought of all those things and since I'm on a tight budget and I've got to spend at least £200 at 'certain store'(vouchers) I'll crunch the numbers to get me the optimum price. It may be time consuming but I'll just have to be more logical about it and use a spreadsheet to keep track of prices.

Maximum budget is approx £430.

Please dont mention competitor names, click edit post and just delete it.

Spend what you have to, then get the rest from here when you know what else you need to complete the build.

So it has. Guess thats one downside of waiting to buy parts and umm'ing/arrr'ing over purchases.

No, but if it eats too much of your budget while a 500W/600W is enough, then its money better spent elsewhere.

I feel a good 500W will do you fine for now and the future.
I was thinking of getting a case/PSU combo from a site that shall not be named but may save me a lot of hassle in the long run should it still have the offer it currently has when I order it, at a shade over £100. The only 'problem' is the wattage of the PSU hence the question. Coolermaster GX series.

I know the bundle.

The PSU is mediocre/average and not modular, it certainly wont blow up or kill.

Modular is useful in a small case, bigger cases or ones with cable management holes tend to cope better with non-modular units.

~:) Im always around.
I've noticed :p

For now I think I'll just give a roughly updated list of items I'm fairly sure about

i5 2500K
Asus P8Z68V-LX/Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
LiteOn IHAS122-18
Corsair Vengeance 8GB low profile 1600MHz, although I may downgrade to XMS3
Gelid Tranquillo/Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus(Is the evo better?)

Essentially the case and the PSU are giving me the biggest trouble right now.

The Vengeance low profile to XMS3 isnt really a downgrade, the speed/timings are the same, so its just the "look"

The Gelid is not as tall, both are great, the Evo is the newer one of the three.
I heard the vengeance is a premium version in comparison to the XMS3, or is that wrong?

Hmmm, I'll bear that in mind. Oh and in case it wasn't clear I meant the tranquillo rev 2.

I class it as "marketing speak", for a Sandybridge system all you need is 1600MHz RAM with modest timings.

Both of them are this and have lifetime warranty etc.
