Second SATA drive won't work.

Hello,

Hoping you guys can help, but the issue is I can't access my second SATA disk.

It shows up in My Computer, the BIOS and in Device Manager, but I can't actually double click on the drive to open it's contents.

Screeshot below shows the drive (E drive), however unlike the C: drive it doesn't display the volume etc.



This pic shows it's OK in device manager.



Just to let you know this hard disk was formally an external disk drive, already pre-formatted with contents.

Any help appreciated.

can you right click on the e: drive and select properties - what does it show ?
Is it marked as active ?

Disk management might be the best place to start checking the partition/drive.
