Trucks aren't as light as cars, they cannot simple stop, they must veer off course massively, which seems to have happened here.
Though im sort of wondering what was in the truck, the surrounding water looks strange, perhaps its just petrol.
Well it says it was a gravel truck in the report and anyway its surronded with fire retardant foam and there is bound to be a of lot fuel and oil from rig that size.
