Secret auto-altering of game difficulty? Acceptable?

Er...who said it was a major issue? You asked, I gave you a few examples. I just couldn't be arsed sitting down and going through all the other games I've given up just to satisfy some random stranger on the net.

It is a major issue for me. I reckon I complete about 20% of the games I buy. The rest I reach some point -- die, die,die,die,die,die, screw this 'exit game', never load again ..

Well to be fair it's not an issue these days since there are so many cheap games on the go. I was well miffed when I bought Ninja Gaiden though, it was a full price xbox title and had been getting rave reviews everywhere.

There should really have been a warning - "This game will make you it's bitch on level 1"

No...you gave one example and then said that game had been patched. Fair enough though...I just thought it was an important issue for you as you would boycott developers if one of their games are too tough for you.
