Section 8: Prejudice

Section 8 was a superb shooter but amongst the glut of CoD and BF:BC games it didn't really have a chance. Personally I thought it was brilliant fun and this new one looks even better, massive maps with stunning vista's, tanks, hover bikes, Mech's all with upto 40 players !! im in !

Swarm mode co-op - 4-player defense

 
Absolutely awesome game! I clocked over 60 hours on the beta, which is the most I've ever played a MP shooter (not really a fan of MP).

Off to buy it :D
 
I'll be giving this a wide bearth, I got suckered into buying Section 8 in the Steam sales and it is very poor - kinda like Tribes Vengeance, but with a vastly inferior storyline and less enjoyable combat.
 
If you didn't like the original, you probably won't like this. From what I understand they just added more maps, perks, weapons and dynamic combat missions. Vehicles are still horrible to use (for balance, I guess) but I still loved the game myself.
 
Just a headsup this is now downloadable from both Steam & GFWM but the activation is not live yet so you can only download & install not activate for another few hours. Its only a 4.59GB download & on Steam the servers are getting hammered so switch to New York if you do not want to wait.

Be interesting to see how well this game does as it features dedicated servers & some reviewers say it outdoes Battlefield2 plus its digital download only on PC so a budget price of £9.99.
 
Would not worry too much about how quick you download as the activation servers are not live yet so until they hit that switch its a waiting game for all of us as this is only a 1-2 hour download!
