Hi any decent programs that can do this for Win7 64bit ?

Ive tried file shredder/alternative shredder and ncleaner and ccleaner but none are small/simple and effective or dont have the option to right click on recycle bin and erase files.

I tried privacy guardian which does work but its a large bloated program....

Any suggestions would be welcome, thx

What's wrong with CCLeaner? Set it to secure erase (just 1-pass simple overwrite is all you need) and be on the recycle bins context menu then just rclick> run ccleaner and it'll do it's stuff with secure erase for any files it removes.

didnt see the option under win7 64bit with ccleaner or ncleaner even checked in the settings.... either way installed eraser and does the job perfectly so thx

this does work.
load up ccleaner
then click on options then settings
then select secure deletion
then choose how many passes you want

yeah done that and still no option on recycle bin right click context menu....

Theres about 50 different programs that can do similar but whos got time too drag and drop and use a program to secure delete? > Right click recycle bin is where windows will put it by default so you gotta go there anyhow.

ive tried eraser and its a nice simple tool but it doesnt work half the time and has a hissy fit error displayed sometimes.

So ive gone back too good old privacy gaurdian its the only one that does the job but real shame cos I use too have a program a year ago that did the job perfectly was light/simple and worked but ive forgotten the name of the program !

CCleaner > Options > Settings

Clearly you haven't looked.

Thats madness I installed ccleaner yesterday and by default it enables CCleaner option on recycle bin but the options where not there yesterday, I just figured might not work on 64bit os.

reinstalled it and checked today and now the options there, why cant that happen when I want Jessica alba :D
