What do you mean by secure?

Use DBAN to get DOD-level erasing.

Secure asin write over it with zeros and ones randomly, you see when you delete files, it just removes it from the file tree, but it can still be there unless its written over, it be safe, id do like 27 passes.

Killdisk, the free version only does 1+0 but its just as secure as any other method and its quick, less than 15 mins.
