Evening all,

The network I've got setup in our house has previously been:
All Clients > Wireless Router > Internet
All on the same subnet, all on the same workgroup.

I now have 3 computers :p Desktop, Laptop and Server and I want to separate them from the rest of the network, effectively creating my own minilan within the existing network.
I'm trying to hide my computers from the others in the house. I've tried creating my own workgroup but thats not as secure as I'd like  I'm now thinking along the lines of changing the subnet of my 3 pcs.

Any other ideas?

unless the router supports more than one subnet (I doubt many home routers do) that would be a no go, what router is it out of interest? Unless it supports a VLAN type feature (draytek does) you'd have to use software firewalls on the machines allowing only the other trusted machines in by IP address

someone may have a better idea though :)
