So I'm guessing there has to be a few people good with this.

I've got a couple of 720p mounted webcams connected to PC's pointing at some 3d printers.

Looking for a way so that when the PC's are on, the webcams will stream to a website automatically, so people can see the things being printed in real time.

Any suggestions or mainly recommendations of software packages able to do this? Want self-hosted options mainly, not looking for a streaming service provider.

Should be easy enough. What cameras are they?

Would probably chew through bandwidth quite quickly though.

Edit: try http://www.tincam.com (unless you're running windows 8+ in which case windows media server should work).

Could also create a script to only activate the tincam software once the 3d printer is active. Would save your bandwidth.

I know you want self-hosted preferably, but you could use Twitch for it, they have a creative section now (see Bob Ross stream).

I think they got rid of the private streaming, so it would be no good if you needed that, but if it's just for customers or whatever it'd be much better since you'd only need to pay for the single upload. If it is actually just a public stream you intend I can imagine the odd occasion where someone posts the link somewhere and you end up with either huge bandwidth costs or the stream being taken down due to exceeding your bandwidth :D.
