HI folks,

Now that I am married I am moving my PC out of my room to a room downstairs.

I access my PC remotely from work using www.logmein.com.

What I would like to do is setup a webcam by the patio doors that lead into the garden from the living room. I would like to be able to remote onto my home PC from work and be able to "PAN" the webcam from left to right to check on my dog(which I will be getting in February) in the garden.

The webcam needs to be able to transmit from the living room to my home PC in the appropriate room downstairs.

Is this possible? Any recommendations along with prices?

Please advise.

TIA :)

Well you could always get an IP Cam, i know axis do a range of them and they range from about 80 quid but well depends on your budget really. Only advantage to that method is you can have a website with a feed. However did you want the camera to be outside or in?

The other thing is connection, will it be wired or wireless, you can get wireless IP Cams im pritty sure, not sure about prices thou.
