See What You Think And Pass It On If You Agree With It?, Petrol related.

I was expecting a "forward this to ten thousand people within 30 seconds or my dead cat will attack you during the night" type ending.

107p? Is it really that high in some places? 101.9 is the norm around here. Saw it dip below 100 about a week ago...

So eventually when everything in " The Middle East " dies down, Will the price of oil come down ?

I'm refering to the fighting over there, not the end of oil :p

Well it won't end for a number of years looking at it, Turkey jumping in, Iran and Israel pushing it every day. Maybe even a form of Civil war in Iraq, I couldn't give an opinion or the ability to back it up properly, but the problems are there to stay for at least a decade, imo. Worth thing that could happen is for massive pull out. :p

But seeing a barrel of oil back at $20? Doubtful, maybe in 2010, if miraculously everything settles into place, we might see 70p a litre, but then we have the Saudi’s coming into the equation, they're business is booming, and they want to keep it that way. :p

No chance, the fact is petrol is hard to find now and its costing billions just to even see if there is oil in areas in the world, oil will always go up, its the life and blood of society now, even with China/India using up more and more it will only create demand and the petrol companies will have to put up prices to slow down the use of petrol.

In my area you have a choice of Esso, BP and the supermarkets for petrol, independant ones have gone bust and sold the land for housing, 2 old petrol stations in my village have been turned into a block of luxury flats.

Same here.

At my local morrisons and Asda its 101.9p ( I filled up well yesterday now - Saturday).

I really don't understand why people fill up at esso/texaco garages (which around here are 106p+ per litre) especially when there is a supermarket close by.

(I can understand it if there is no supermarket with fuel obviously)

Higher quality of fuel at named stations, pay slightly more but gets you a bit further.

From my experience the fuel is no different. (ie I could tell no difference when filling up my car at a texaco garage in North wales (no supermarket around) compared to filling it up again at home (at morrisons).

Super Market fuel is two parts water, one part fuel. :D
