A couple of months ago I went through a bit of a tough experience with a girl. She was one of my closest friends and she decided to tell me she liked me as more than just friends, but then later changed her mind. Everyone has a right to change their mind but she went to great lengths to put me down and try and convince me all the things she had said were just her joking (For anyone reading sending a message saying 'I have a thing for you, would you like to come over tomorrow so we can talk about stuff?' and telling someone you want to sleep with them is not particularly funny if you don't mean it).
After this she wouldn't speak to me (I tried to find out what had really happened, turned out she was dating 4 other guys at the same time) except she came up to me in a bar and acted like nothing was wrong. Since then I have avoided going places where I know she is going to be, but now I am practically forced to go out tonight where there is a good chance that either her (or her mental sister) will be.
How do I avoid getting depressed if I see her? I have seen her out a few times and everytime its like a smack in the stomach because of how she made me feel like I was complete crap on her shoe and to her it didn't matter at all what she had done. I don't think alcohol will improve the situation.
