Seeing as most of you have £2500 spare, what would you spend it on ?

Bitcoooiiin!

(Not a savings vehicle nor, depending on who you speak to, an investment).

I put £10 on bitcoin the other day

Now i have £8.50

:D

I dont know if i would put £2.5k on bitcoin unless i was buying at at a loooow value

I would probably put it towards a car as this is what im looking around for at the moment. And then i could keep 2.5k in savings

Traxxas UDR (RC car)
FlightLine P38 Lightning (RC plane)
3D printer parts & filament

I'm going to buy them eventually anyway. But it would be nice to get them right now.. :D

Some are saying bitcoin will break a million in a few years so might not be so bad. Everything is in the red currently because Trump and China nonsense. But it won't stay that way for long.

My colleague put 50k on bitcoins last year, that turned in to 100k.

I may grow the pot, i will have to try and get in to the habit of buying low though

I doubt it will be masses of amounts, i may buy £20-30 a month

Problem is the government will tax the **** out of it now when you cash it in, same with stocks/shares. If you make more than £3000. The trick is to store the bitcoins in a wallet and try to spend them directly :D

It's crappy really. The government really doesn't like individuals trying to make their own way through the financial world.

Would buy a new dog as I lost my little fella a year ago now and I have always had a dog since a child and miss having one

Same but probably Vietnam/Thailand/Cambodia and on a scooter for a while. £2.5k would probably do 2 months out there.
Is it really that cheap? I've done fairly "cheap" Europe beach holidays over the last few years with partner, full board, pool beach sea and nothing else for 5-7 days, and that works out about £2k between us. Maybe I need to go Asia way
