seems cheap?

seems a bit dodgy, no feedback offers escrow, keeps buyer private.

However that should go for a lot more cash than that.

It's one of the identikit scams which is floating about eBay at the moment - there are about 30 cars I've enquired about which have all been replied to with exactly the same statements.

If you enquire, I can guarantee you'll probably get a message that ends with "but I am out of town on urgent business. If you buy I will set up the transfer now and arrange delivery, eBay link will answer 90% of your questions" or similar.

In fact, looking at it, that' exactly the same (real) car that I saw sold for around 18k a while back :)

Confused, there is no indication of a reserve price next to the current bid, yet the seller states that the sale price is £5000

That's what I thought. I don't know my american muscle cars, but I thought that price looked damn cheap for a charger.

I was actually looking for australian steel anyway :)

Valiant Charger?

Yeah, or a ford falcon.

I like this:

But I also like this:

Valiant Chargers are most definitely for the win. Much as I adore 2nd Gen B-body Chargers (hell, B-bodies in general), I like the Aussie Chargers just as much. And for driving in this country, the Aussie Charger makes a little bit more sense - shorter wheelbase, better F:R weight balance, lower weight overall and (not that it matters all that much, but still) right hand drive.

Yeah, much as I like yank muscle, I'd prefer the "usability" of the australian motors.

Any advice on where to keep an eye out if I were interested in aquiring such a beast?

Depends. You want one that's already in this country, or are you prepared to import one?

Classic American mag occasionally has the odd bit of Aussie muscle in the classifieds, and cars turn up on the 'Bay semi-regularly. I often take a look on the Aussie 'Bay site to see what's available over there - Charger search results here.
