seems to be official details on xbox 360 update (fall)

Added support to not write trial-version Arcade games to user's played games history (this is only for newly downloaded games after the Dec'07 update is released)
Will please a lot of people, shame it cant remove ones that are already on your list.

-Friends of Friends and additonal user info will annoy some people who are concerned about privacy. I don't want social networking features to increase, (does anyone?) Will have to see how this is implemented exactly, but doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Since you do not need to add in any real info about yourself, or enable the friends of friends things then I guess those who care about privacy will still be secure :) I don't mind having the option to add in some info beside my tag, I remember a few on here moaning that they can never tell who is from OCUK on their list, so this would be a little bit of a helper for instances like that :)

That is really annoying, are they saying 'we can't figure out how to remove these older trial games from your list'??

I hope they are downloading these codecs to the hard drive - my 360 won't play MP4 files unless it's connected to Xbox Live! Does this happen with everybody elses?

Never noticed this, but I doubt codecs are stored on the HDD as otherwise non HDD users would be left out, and as far as I know they get same video support as us HDD users. (I just assumed they are stored in the RAM/Firmware etc). Having said that my console is connected to Live permanantly.
