Haven't these been failing (faulty)?

Do you need any Peripherals? Monitor (NOTE: screen res less than 1680x1050 is an insult to a CrossFire setup)?

First build, I recommend you use/install the stock heat sink & fan (HSF - comes with CPU) before you start playing around with the Ninja & AS5 (lost my first chip a Duron thanks to excess thermal compound, etc - though nowdays its harder to cause same damage)

Peripherals arent a problem for me I very recently bought a Dell 2407 monitor, Logitech z-5500 speakers, Razer Copperhead mouse, Saitek Eclipse keyboard and Saitek Cyborg Evo joystick. :)

I was going to hold out for DX10 but then I thought that it would probably take a few months for the cards to be released and much longer again for a lot of games which will support it to come out so id get a 7950 ot 2x x1900s now and get some DX10 cards in a years time.

I dont think ill overclock at all but I may upgrade the CPU to the Extreme as id still be spending less than I had planned if id got a prebuilt.

I think most here will agree that your are paying an extra £60 for just the name Asus in regards to the GFX. The Sapphire card (if they still do) comes with 4 games. Try them out, then choose two keep (or something like that) ;)

Also mixed opinions on the X6800 here, but since not overclocking I guess go for it.

& prepare to hate your build/machine! DELTA fans LOL! Even the name Delta sounds loud  OTT considering Intel Core 2 Duo (all chips) will be running way cooler!

drake, - if it were me, i would drop thr ninja syche cooler and get a better standard type one. i have a feeling that would be mahoosive in your case and not ideally suited to an x-fire system..

i would also go for the 2nd fastest conroe - buying thw absolute fastest always incurs a price premium which is well above the difference in performance.

i would also drop the delta fans they are not needed.

Ok then I guess I realy should save that cash :p so drop the CPU to the E6700 and what case fans would be better?

Other than these bits is there anything that realy should be changed or wont work? or is it looking ok? cos if so ill probably look at ordering all this stuff within the next week or two. :)

argh still so many questions sorry :( what CPU cooler should I get if not the one I listed?
