Self improvment - Leaning a new language?

Go there, but before you do, learn how to conjugate verbs. After that its mostly vocabulary. One phrase to use a lot is "plus lentement s'il vous plais!". Once they slow down a bit you can get what they're saying. I was at a hostel rolling some cigarettes at a table with some others when someone sat down and said something really fast at me. I asked her to slow down so she repeated herself like you would to a retarded child. Now I understood she was asking for a smoke so I answered oui and got a laugh from the table. After that they just kept it slow for me and I made some good friends there.

without courses, I'm trying to improve my english here in the forum...

I would say that my initial reaction to reading this was amusement ... due to the standard of English quite often displayed on the forum. Your English is probably already better than quite a few peoples. :p

But good for you for doing it :)

I highly recommend also signing up to Lang-8: http://www.lang-8.com/

You write blog posts in the language you're learning, and receive corrections from native speakers of that language (the tools allow you to correct line by line with red text and so on). Then you can return the favour by correcting their English posts.
