So am looking at booking self storage to make moving day considerably easier and sticking things like my cd's, tools, ornaments, pictures etc into storage so that then on moving day we're just lugging the big items and some clothes.
Safe Store currently have a deal on which makes a 100 sq ft unit incredibly cheap but doesn't include insurance. Adding in their own brand insurance works out around £6/wk for £5000 (however i'm now thinking i want more than that) so at £5k that makes it £48 for 8 weeks.
I've done a few quotes on Self Storage Insurance providers and seem to be getting prices which work out a lot cheaper, usually around the £20 mark for 5k and then £40 for 10k cover. I had to enter the name of the storage unit and they had a pretty comprehensive list which makes it all look legit.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience and whether i'll have issues if i need to claim because i have separate cover.
