Hi, if im selling some thing thats brand new online ( here on the members market for instance) or on the bay , the product will be covered by a warranty, do i give the buyer MY invoice so they can claim on the warranty if needs be ? or do they not need "proof of purchase" to claim on a warranty ?

just to clarify: i bought something its unused and unopened but i decided to sell it as i could do with the money lol

It depends on what it is and where it's bought from. E.g. you only need the serial number of a Western Digital hard drive before requesting an RMA.

It is better that you do as the RMA process normally asks for proof of purchase. However, as long as they have the product serial number, they can get by it. I don't think I've ever provided PoP details.

ah ok , i was just undecided about including my invoice with the package , ive never sold anything online before so didnt know what the standard practice was

Some companies will want PoP. Logitech did for my G15 claim.

Some Warranties also specifically state "Non-transferrable" but this usually assumes non-transferable from the person who initially registered it; which with brand new goods - You will not have.
