Selling laptop with backup windows cd - legalities?

I have a sony laptop I want to sell that has a windows XP home license with it, but I don't have the XP CD. If I make a copy of a windows XP CD is it ok to sell the laptop with a backup (baring in mind it does have a legal license - with license sticker on the machine)?

Cheers. I know most people wouldn't care, but I just don't want to advertise something that could be seen as illegal.
