If you work for a large 6000+ organisation like I do, then use the intranet noticeboard for buying/selling. Sold lots of tech on there no probs, including a tablet for £300 recently.

Next response from them was - "great, I'm away with work at the moment but I'll send my brother round to collect"

Exactly the same here, I put my laptop on FB marketplace and it's always their brother they want to collect. Soon realised that it's just an auto script.
Still worth the hassle though, things do seem to sell quite quickly through FB marketplace.

I’ve done BT for FB marketplace before. Each time the person does it in front of me and I wait until it hits my bank. Then they can take the item.

I've sold a couple of mountain bikes on there and that's how I've done it. Luckily the fast bank transfers now mean it's confirmed within a couple of mins so you're not stood around awkwardly waiting for 20 mins

If it’s high-ish value tech stuff I just use CeX. Yes you don’t get as much money but it’s a lot less hassle.
