Selling The Car - What do you think I should ask for it?

also regarding this

Small ding in the body work above the drivers side wheel arch
Small scuff marks on back bumper passenger side
Traction control system doesn’t switch on from inside the car
Back wheel arches rub with a lot of weight in the back
The wheel tracking may need done

your being too honest. Tracking may need doing ? dont mention it then. It will just plant seeds of doubt in their mind. The only thing out of that that i'd mention is about the traction control system

The "dings and marks" id leave in as a comment about the general car's condition. Id say that the car is in overall good condition and leave it at that. "overall good condition" says "its not a minter" without putting people in the mode of thinking you've abused it.

Put an MOT and Tax the thing or you'll get bugger all for it.

I do like the install though, looks very nice and professional. If you can take it out without damaging it you'll get a decent amount for it.

As MrLOL has said, just put down body condition as good and don't bother mentioning the tracking.

As has been said, MOT the car. How much would you get for the wheels? Buy a set off ebay like these for £100 and maybe net a few hundred on the wheels, also making it more appealing to your general buyer. Stick in a reasonable stereo but don't go mad and flog the ICE install. You'll make a few hundred there as well Add it all up and for a few hours work, you've added a lot of cash to your arse pocket - if you make £200 on the wheels, and the same on the ICE for say 3 or 4 hours graft, you cannot complain. Not many people on here earn £100 an hour and even if you do, it not money to be sniffed at.

Get an MOT on it, get it taxed , get some proper photos, think about removing all the sound system and get it on ebay, new aloys, I think the car will sell quicker standard than with all that on it, any service history with it? have you had it serviced? people will wanto know that too.

If I was reading that, I would assume its probably been thrashed since you have had it, as all u talk about are the modications and ICE, not the actual car. ( All IMO of course)

Good luck selling it though

:)

In the OP it says the seller could really do with the cash, in which case, selling it sans an MOT is plain daft.

It looks tidy and with an MOT will sell easily.

I fear the OP is skint and can't afford putting it through the MOT?

In which case, sell the ICE, MOT the Car and then advertise it but with different words, meaning its a 9 year old car with over 125k on the clock, people will expect the odd issue - you don't have to point them out! :)

I'll echo everything people has said about the mods and MOT; a reasonably standard car with an MOT will be a hundred times easier to sell than a modified one without MOT, and you'll get far better money for it.

Do you have any of the original parts, such as alloys, springs, air box, gear lever etc? You will get a lot more return on the money you have spent if you refit these items and sell the aftermarket parts separately, as well as making the car attractive to a much wider audience.

FWIW, a car lowered sufficiently to cause clearance problems will not impress many people.

The ICE is a lovely neat installation, but it ruins the practicality of car which has a large boot as one of it's strong points (for most people).

That said I do known someone who is after an ST24 and wouldn't mind most of the mods, just a shame you are at the wrong end of the country!
