Does anyone have one of these; trying to find out if the height of the control panel is standard between manufacturers... The likes of currys etc have none on show and when I'm trying to find the dimension information for the panel... Well I'm drawing a blank!

Cheers.

No, the height of the control panel varies between manufactures. The machine will come with a selection of interlocking plastic strips the width of the door. These slide into slots under the control panel until they fill the space between the control panel and the fitted kitchen door.

Just get a fully integrated I've never understood the semi option if you are having an ugly chunk of appliancecon display just get a totally none integrated one at least it will be cheaper!

I'm with a1ex2001, never understood the reason for the semi integrated option.
Goksly out of interest why are you going for the semi integrated type?

Long story but we've got an integrated door but it's in two parts and the top is only supported by two screws right at the top of the door. Crap design imo!

So this is a dishwasher that I got for my mum after hers broke. We thought the door was a single door but when theucet taken it off its actually two... And when attaching the door and door draw to the new dishwasher, only two screws at the very top of the draw section are used so when you pull to open the screws just rip out. Should have been oh so simple...

My folks have a Bosch semi-integrated one which got installed at the same time as the rest of their kitchen, all the measurements were available on the Bosch website.

Depends on the appliance really, the Bosch semi-integrated ones look good and have a full colour display which is a nice feature. Plus an integrated one isn't ideal if you've got handle-less cupboard doors.

I can find dimensions of the overall unit... But not found one that states the size (well height) of the control panel.

I was thinking about the panel joiners... Existing door is a very heavy one, I'm thinking it's MDF. If it was wood I'd chisel it out but apparently MDF doesn't play nice and you should use a router?
