I have just installed a fresh install of windows(7) on a new Samsung evo 250 . I also installed a new 1tb HD. How do i send files default to the HD. I want my documents (films, pictures, music and the likes) on the hd not the ssd where windows is !! Also should i put my steam folder on th hd and download games to the ssd if that is even possible or worth it.. Sorry if its a stupid question but its my first ssd and we all have to learn:D

P.s I will upgrade to Windows 10 as soon as i get the option from my updates . I keep running search for updates .. But still waiting .

Create the folder location you want and then select it.

For example mine are:

Documents - S:\Media\Documents
Music - S:\Media\Music

etc

As Above.

I have Windows and Odd documents on the Main Drive, Steam Library on it's own Drive another drive for Downloads/Storage and Another for a Backup. I just configure everything to the location I want. :)

****;28993081] Can you do that,i only thought it was free as a upgrade for windows 7 and 8 at the moment?

Times have moved on since Windows 10 upgrade was first released.

If, these days, you go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 and use the 'Download tool' to create a latest version DVD or USB install, then it should accept any genuine Win 7 or 8 Activation key... :)

(It was only in the last weeks of Nov that the latest Windows 10 version 1511 Build 10586 became available, also known as TH2 )
