Sorry guys,

This is probably a easy one , but i need to send original photos to my friend without any editing applied, unfortunately total comes to near 200MB. Whats the best way to send these ?

Thanks

:)

what format? jpeg? raw?

could try compressing them using rar or 7zip got access to webspace? as with email there probably would be size restrictions per email you sent not to mention the recipients email box getting filled.

could also try hosting a temp ftp

all in jpg, i was thinking of zip and rar but even with high compression they won't be small enough for email. I have heard of rapidshare not sure if its the correct thing to use, is there anything free that is similar ?

I think Rapidshare limits files sizes to 100mb and you'll not be able to send such sizes by e-mail. You'll have to find a upload service with no size restrictions. You could get a domain and upload your files to your own website by FTP .My domain host allows me 1gig , it was 500mb of storage , this is more than adequate for a typical website . But you couldn't put hundreds of those sized picys on though.

just install ftp or web server on your machine, give WAN access to the open port and give your friend your ip address. Windows comes with IIS in add remove programs / windows components
