sending one to another pc on the same network ?

i want to send a few files to my dads laptop but they arn't setup so i can do it through my network places

any other way i can do it ? i tried MSN but it is slow :S

As I can't get file sharing through Windows to work, I setup an FTP on my PC & connect to that when transferring files from the PCs on my network.
Might be overkill though, just for the occasional file.

Filezilla server and client programs will allow you to set up an FTP link between the two.
