sending receipt to a buyer

Have sold a product on member's market here, unfortunately the user has a problem with the product (fault not due to me), and asked if I have a receipt which I'm assuming is for an exchange. I was sad to hear that user was having problems and do not have a problem with supplying the receipt, however I did pay with card and it has a few details on it, last 4 digits of card no and expire date. Is it safe to send the receipt to the buyer?

it all depends chances are if you get the buyer to return the product it will be sent back to you (if u got it online)

it was purchased from a shop. So they can easily get an exchange.

cheers for replies, just double checking. I know that people can scam from only using the last 4 digits though.

Don't do it, it's a scam, because if you multiply the last 4 digits of the card number by the expiry date, you get the rest of the card number :eek:
