are these worth the 100 quid price tag?

any body using them that would recommend them...

also are they worth the 35 quid extra over the 330's?

No they aren't
The SS siberia v2 are far superior, amazing sound quality and placement, probably the comfiest headset ever. Better still the 7Hs if you can afford them.

I would recommend them but I have never tried the sibierias that crashz is referring to, they might be with a look. I have used a lot of headsets from razer, Logitech, plantronics, and have recently started getting into hi fi headphones and I can say that my pc 350's have beat anything...that I have heard so far

If you plan on the senns and you have a way to power them I.e. Headphone amp or sound card with onboard amp, yes. If you do not have some form of an amp and don't want to get that far into it, no. The 350's can take up to 160ohms of impeadance for a 12db gain.

I Cant agree more! only get high end sennheisers if you have a proper good sound card and preferably a headphone amp. If you dont your not getting the best potential out of them. They are high impedance so require good amping to work correctly and when they do they are amazing. as to if the pc 360 are worth it over the 350s its closed cup vs open cup and better mic/volume. The 360s use newer components shared commonly amoung the sennheiser High end HD 5 series headphones which are used for constuction of the pc350 and 360 headsets these include audio drivers as well as ear pads etc they are valour not your usual leather/fabric stuff. pc350 use the HD 555 driver with closed back (more bass heavy and you cant hear much outside noise) and pc 360 use the HD 598 with open back (more natural clean noise but allows extenal sound in) open backed are usually heavly vented and more suitable for long gaming sessions as the ear never heats up. They are both circumaural so sit on you skull with no pressure on your ears I have had experiance with both my preferance is the 360's for the higher quality mic and on ear volume control jog dial. They have been faultless cant reccomend them highly enough if you have the proper hard ware that is.

360's don't really require an amp they have a nominal impeadance of 60 ohms, but you will be getting the full potential of them using your DG 5.1

No the 350's don't require an amp either but they have a nominal impeadance of 150 ohms. So in order to get the most out of them you would want an amp. The deference between the two is closed and open ear backs. The 360 is open backed so you will get a wider soundstage but background noise can be heard. 350's have a closed back and do a good job drowning out back ground noises like nagging women. The drivers are similar but a bit different, the 360 uses the same driver found in the hd598's from senn while the 350 I believe uses the driver from the hd555's from senn.

I have Asus xonar DG 5.1 sound card with the built in headphone amp, will this be good enough for the 360's???

Yes, that's fine man. I have the 360s and the same card, and they sound amazing. Very comfy too :) Just make sure you change the output mode to Headphones are select the correct amp settings for the impedance.

I don't have the 350s or 360s but my current headset has real leather earpads and they seem nice so far :) I didn't have them during the hot part of the summer but tbh you'll sweat a bit no matter what you wear over your ears in mid summer.

Is it real leather or pleather stuff?

I bought the 350 and Xense bundle last xmas while on offer and only just recently got to use them. I'm really pleased with the headphones and card for that matter. The set are comfortable enough for a 4 hour Skyrim session. I don't hear any background noise so I can't hear the wifebot moaning about being on the pc again but also I'm not aware of her creeping about to pull a prank on me while gaming. The only down side is while in TS you can't hear how loud your talking so the wifebot claims. I treid using the monitor feature so you can hear your aware of your volume but is off putting hearing your self talk through the headphones but still need to play with the settings.
