Has anyone heard of these being discontinued/replaced? I had a pair of PC350s and was very impressed with them but would rather an open headset (I think that is the term) this time around as I believe they are better for directional sound.

They appear to be out of stock on OCUK and similar story else where (or at least limited stock). Does anyone know if this is due to a up coming replacement (perhaps at CES)?

Thanks

If you have a good quality sound card I would suggest using it. With the PC 350 SE is 2.1 and has the audio jacks that would plug directly into the sound card thus equipping the sound cards high quality audio directly to the PC350 SE.

The PC363D uses a USB port and produces the sound and virtual 5.1/7.1 surround sound via a control box (no need for a sound card)

It is up to you, I have tried the PC360's and love them and will most likely purchase the PC363D even though I have a ASUS ROG Xonar Phoebus sound card because of the added virtual surround sound but I will be sacrificing the audio clarity of the sound card if I choose this.

- Hope this helps!

Edit - I have looked on the Amazon website and it seems that the PC363D's come with 2x 3.5mm + USB 2.0 Controller - Could this mean they could be used as a 2.1 via the Asus Xonar Essence STX and 5.1/7.1 virtual via the USB sound card... I can't find any reviews or images of the cables so I have emailed a couple of Amazon Vine reviewers to see if they can give me an answer.

Why is the price of the PC 350SEs so high! They are exactly what I want as they get rid of the stupid inline volume control and put them on the headset. Grrr

Yes haha, I am so happy they have included the volume control on the headset and the best feature they have for me is the lift to mute microphone ! (Orginaly that was the reason I purchased the PC360's instead if the 350's)

With regards to the price I am not sure they have been officially released. CES 2013 (Jan 11th..) is when I think they will be officially released so I think Amazon will reduce price after that date.

363Ds have 2x 3.5mm jacks (1x mic, 1x stereo) and can be plugged into a normal soundcard fine.

The include dongle is the USB bit (basically an external soundcard w/ prologic processor) and is optional but fairly decent for what it is.
