Sennheiser PC350

Get Sennheiser HD555/595 with "Elara clip-on microphone" (Google that) and job done.

Just clip the mic behind your monitor and it'll pick you up loud and clear.
 
Hi,

I heard you get the best from the HD555/595 series with a seperate mic AMP or have a I heard wrong. I have also been looking at these for a while too. Heard good reviews. My siberias are all but falling to bits but still work. I just want to replace them.

I currently use the mic that came with my Siberias, that is placed on my monitor and does exactly what you have already advised. Though was looking for a replacement as I think the clarity isn't all that.

What about the 595's? I'm no Audiophile so I guess I wouldn't notice the difference, but I was prepared to spend my savings on a 90 quid pair so if the 595's are a better investment I would go for them. I'am already swayed to buying either anyhow. I have been reading up on them and I haven't heard a bad word said against them. Would my soundcard be powerful enough to get the best out of a pair of 595's?

Ive had the 350,555 and currently own the 595's with a cmoy headphone amp and they do certainly sound much better running them thru the amp with my auzentech prelude soundcard.
 
Thank you all for the feedback. I have a wee dilemma now as to which pair to go for. I will be opting for one of these but unsure which.
