I went from cheapy cans to Sennheiser HD SD 25's which I used (and abused) for gaming and bed room DJ'ing for 10+ years... They're still going strong, have replaced the cable once (snagged), foam pads 3-4 times (worn out) and even got them soaking wet a number of times! :)

About 8 months ago I upgraded sidegraded to Roccat Kaves... Sound quality is comparable (but of course the 5.1's are better surround lol) ;)

I'd always rate and recommend Sennheiser, when the 5.1 and 7.1 ranges come down in price (& have more options - white please!) I'll definately change back!

Went for the Game One myself - and really like them. Very comfy to wear, sound is very good - although I have some issues with the mic with my Asus sfx card (but that's a card issue). Volume control on the side it also really useful too.

I also have a pair of Audio Technika ADH700s and honestly I find the sennheisers more comfy to wear and easier to listen to.

I went for the open backs since I don't really have to worry about sound leakage. The zero's would be better if you want to keep the noise isolated (and a smidgen more bass) as well as being able to fold them flat.

Pretty impressed generally - although the price is quite a bit at least you can actually use them for non-pc stuff as well, unlike graphics cards for example. :)

Excuse my ignorance (as I haven't yet tried any headset with the PS4), but are these compatible with the PS4?

Unless the PS4 has standard mini jack audio and headphone connections, probably not.

I seem to recall needing a third party USB device for the PS3 and xbox to allow standard audio connections, so may be the case with the PS4 and XBox One?
