"Sensor" tumble dryers

What does this letting them air mean? Chuck everything into a creasy pile in a basket when it comes out? Or fold up while it does this airing?
 
Fold it up/put it on hangers and then put away once it’s all aired out. Or iron it if that’s your thing and then put it away.

Our LG washer/dryer will go through a cooldown phase after finishing the drying cycle. It will rotate the drum every so often for a couple of hours using the remaining heat to finish drying. Clothes always come out bone dry after which.
