Separate drive for steam and games?

If I have an NVME drive for Windows and install steam, origin etc to an SSD, will I likely see any issues doing this or is it better to have programs and games etc stored on the same drive as windows?

I have Steam install games to a different drive. No issue at all. And it means when you re-install Windows, or change computer, you can retain your games on the drive and not have to re-download them.

That's good to hear. I'm sure I read people stating it could cause performance issues having to read between drives so thought I should check.
Even better not having to re-download everything. Some games are getting fairly big now!!

In my experience there's less performance issues using a separate drive and yes no need to re-download everything like bazzabear states.
