Good Morning All,

Just wondered if there was any advantage to having the OS on one HDD and installing games on the other?

Many thanks

Mark

Well i use a Raptor X for OS and a Caviar Black for all games, musc, pics and vids and to a point i think it does increase performance a little as less fragmentation happens meaning your HDD needs less time to search for the required files.

*EDIT* oh and i see you have a titan amanda cpu cooler, my advice, get rid of it, i used to have one and it was great for a while but then the pci card failed which is apparently a known issue as they were poorly manufactured.
Trust me you do not wanna risk it with those things.

I read that if you install games to a seperate drive you get increased performance/load times because the drive with the games is dedicated to loading just the games without having to load OS files at the same time.

It makes sense but I never tried it.
