Trying to look for the serial number to send it back for replacement, is the serial number this one on the lens itself and not on the box

I believe it should be the number on the lens (normally towards the 'tripod hole' on bigger lenses, not sure on smaller ones).

Although Tamron for rebates ask for the serial number on the box itself :x

Cant you just include both?
Or is it some kind of online form you need to fill in.

I saw a serial number on the lens which is in op, used that for the RMA form.
