Series of images all numbered sequentially. How to automatically reverse the order of all the images

Hey guys,
Trying to make a GIF in reverse with many images. But the images are numbered 1 - 50(say). But i want 50 to be 1, 49 to be 2... etc..
How can i do that?

Batch (most likely should work but not tested)

filename=Filenameold
filename2=filenamenew

NUM=50
NUM2=1

FOR %%I in (C:\folder1\*.*) DO
ren %filenameold%%NUM%.gif %filename2%%NUM2%.gif
NUM=NUM-1
NUM2=NUM2+1

Renames Filenameold to filenamenew (these need to be different.)

Sort by descending filename in explorer then select all.

I do this when importing frames into photoshop.
