Not only is this game mental as ever, but the best thing of all, none of the rocket-jumping high-platform giltching crap that plagued the original game. It just totally ruins it and so it's nice to actually strafe and shoot your way through the game properly.

Had a quick go on this this morning. It's as good as it ever was, but I swear some of the enemies have got faster. :eek:

I'd recommend this to anyone who hasn't played the original, the problem is though that it basically exactly the same game and doesn't add anything at all except enhanced visuals. I'm actually quite surprised they didn't chuck a couple of bonus levels in or something just to add a little extra, or include the Second Encounter as well.

I did find it marginally easier than the original, which I only completed in co-op mode, not SP. It just feels like e.g. the Tommygun is slightly more powerful.

A good laff back in the day but this new version is robbery considering what little they've done to update it, and the fact the original was a budget game to start with (which can be bought for less than a fiver). Its an 18 quid patch more or less.

It may not be much besides the updated graphics, but one thing that I mentioned before and I will again as it is pretty important, is that there is no longer the annoying rocket-jumping giltch out onto the walls or out of the boundaries of the general level design, which was what plagued the original game and totally ruined the fun out of it.

I got the game on release, was a lot of fun on co-op shooting the hell out of anything that moved, i have never touched SS before this one so i have missed some of the secerts.

I even did not know about the Moon Mountain level until i did some reading on the game that you had to unlock by destroying stuff acouple of levels before it.

I love the idea of the HD version, but I've missed the 9.99 offer, and am dubious about spending £15-18 on it.

Bought this on this weekends deal.

A hidden gem as far as I am concerned.

Never played this franchise before and im 31 I but love it.

Can not believe I missed out on this first time around.

Been playing with 2 other friends on co-op - LOLs all around.
